    FAQ: General Questions About Site
    Who runs this site?
Michael McFadyen, a Sydney based recreational diver.

Is this site related to any commercial diving operation?
No, it does not even accept sponsorship.

    Who funds the site?
    Michael McFadyen.

    When did the site start?
I started the web site in July 1996. I was off work sick for a couple of weeks recovering from an operation when I thought that it might be interesting to put on the web my experiences as a diver. It has expanded greatly from that first site.

What is the aim of the web site?
My sole aim is to assist other divers in enjoying the underwater domain, whether it is here in Sydney, NSW, Australia or overseas.

What is the history of the site?
After I built the first site in 1996, I redid it in about 1997 and then again in about 2000. In August 2006 I released the latest and (I hope) best version of the site.

How big is the web site?
As of October 2023 there are over 1100 separate pages, with well over 3,000 photographs and many videos. Most pages are on scuba diving, but there are many on four wheel driving.

How often is the site updated?
Generally, pages are updated (corrected or added to) every week. Extra pages are added as needed, mostly after diving a new site or at the end of a diving or camping trips. Sometimes there are changes nearly every day.
